Classical Homeopathy is defined as follows: a Primary Health Care system of medicine in which the homeopathic medicine is prescribed according to the Law of Similars (Similimum Similibus Curentur), in the Minimum Dose, that is to say (with a few notable exceptions in emergency medicine) as a single dose of a single homeopathic medicine at a time and in the lowest potency, as is relevant and appropriate for the case in question, and the progress of each case to be assessed according to the Law of Cure. A Homeopathic Medicine is defined as follows: any substance or imponderable prepared according to the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia and includes the Mother Tinctures and the full range of potencies where these are prescribed according to the Law of Similars. A Homeopathic Medicine is selected: according to the Totality of Symptoms of each case in question and its Materia Medica based on provings and clinical experience.
The Academy of Classical Homeopathic Medicine shall be responsible for the following:
- Establishing guidelines for the curriculum requirements for Classical Homeopathic training in homeopathic educational facilities worldwide.
- Bringing together national bodies, currently working towards standardization of the curriculum for Classical Homeopathic training, into an international body.
- Promoting the use of homeopathy as an effective modality in acute disease, first aid and trauma situations in areas where, for reasons of isolation, distance or hardship, a health care infrastructure is not yet fully established.
- Establishing curriculum requirements and helping develop training programs for local health workers to deliver homeopathy for acute disease, first aid and trauma situations, in areas where the health care infrastructure is not yet fully established.
- Clarifying scope of practice in each nation and supporting legalization of homeopathy in those countries where it currently is not recognized.
- Educating the general public as to what Classical Homeopathy is and making clear its full potential as a Primary Health Care System of Medicine.
- Negotiating the inclusion of homeopaths in any future disaster situations wherever international relief agencies are called upon to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
- Following on from 7. : Build an international homeopathic relief agency able to respond in future disasters.
